Reconnect with your body. Reclaim your breath. Restore your sense of safety.

At ActivHealing Treatment Center, we integrate trauma-informed yoga into our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs as part of our holistic, mind-body approach to healing. Yoga provides a safe, empowering space to gently reconnect with the body—especially for individuals living with the effects of trauma, anxiety, or chronic stress. This is not about flexibility or fitness—it’s about learning how to feel safe in your own body again.

Benefits of Trauma-Informed Yoga:

  • Promotes grounding and emotional regulation
  • Calms the nervous system and reduces hyperarousal
  • Increases body awareness without judgment
  • Supports sleep, digestion, and mood stability
  • Complements trauma therapies like EMDR, Brainspotting, and DBT
  • Builds a sense of choice, control, and presence—especially for trauma survivors

 What to Expect:

  • Gentle, accessible movement guided by trained facilitators
  • Focus on breathwork, grounding, and interoceptive awareness
  • No hands-on adjustments or forced postures
  • All bodies, experience levels, and mobility levels welcome
  • A calm, safe, and judgment-free environment

"Yoga becomes a tool for reclaiming your body—on your terms. At ActivHealing, we honor each movement as part of the healing process."
